President Bush and Associates on Faith!

(I recieved this email from a friend)

Dear (To whom it May Concern),

I urge you to watch a video entitled...
Inner Strength: the Role of Faith in the Public Lives of George W. Bush, Rick Santorum and Zell Miller. If you want to truly understand the President's faith, you can hear him describe it in his own words in this remarkable 28-minute documentary.

This fast-paced documentary traces the tradition of American presidents from Washington to the present speaking about their faith. It is augmented by Senators Rick Santorum and Zell Miller speaking about their own faith in addition to their close-hand observations of President Bush's faith in action.

It was produced by Let Freedom Ring, Inc., a public policy non-profit organization, promoting conservative values and encouraging believers to be actively engaged in the political process.
President Bush speaks of the importance of faith in his own life regularly, but most people never have the opportunity to hear him on this critically important subject.

I hope you enjoy the video and invite you to forwad it on to your friends.

Donald E. Wildmon,

A Powerful Story!!

The other day, our nine year old son wanted to know why we were at war. My husband looked at our son and then looked at me. My husband and I were in the Army during the Gulf War and we would be honored to serve and defend our Country again today. I knew that my husband would give him a good explanation.

My husband thought for a few minutes and then told my son to go stand in our front living room window. He told him: "Son, stand there and tell me what you see?"

"I see trees and cars and our neighbor's houses." he replied.

"OK, now I want you to pretend that our house and our yard is the United States of America and you are President Bush."

Our son giggled and said "OK."

"Now son, I want you to look out the! e window and pretend that every house and yard on this block is a different country", my husband said.

"OK Dad, I'm pretending."

"Now I want you to stand there and look out the window and see that man come out of his house with his wife and he has her by the hair and is hitting her. You see her bleeding and crying. He hits her in the face, he throws her on the ground, then he starts to kick her to death. Their children run out and are afraid to stop him, they are crying, they are watching this but do nothing because they are kids and afraid of their father. You see all of this, son.... what do you do?"

"What do you do son?"

"I call the police, Dad."

"OK, Pretend that the police are the United Nations and they take your call, listen to what you know and saw but they refuse to help. What do you do then son?"

"Dad, but the police are supposed to help!" My son starts to whine.

"They don't want to son, because they say that it is not their place or your place to get involved and that you should stay out of it," my husband says.

"But Dad...he killed her!!" my son exclaims.

"I know he did...but the police tell you to stay out of it. Now I want you to look out that window and pretend you see our neighbor who you're pretending is Saddam turn around and do the same thing to his children."

"Daddy...he kills them?"

"Yes son, he does. What do you do?"

"Well, if the police don't want to help, I will go and ask my next door neighbor to help me stop him," our son says.

"Son, our next door neighbor sees what is happening and refuses to get involved as well. He refuses to open the door and help you stop him," my husband says.

"But Dad, I NEED help!!! I can't stop him by myself!!"

"WHAT DO YOU DO SON?" Our son starts to cry.

"OK, no one wants to help you, the man across the street saw you ask for help and saw that no one would help you stop him. He stands taller and puffs out his chest. Guess what he does next son?"

"What Daddy?"

"He walks across the street to the old lady's house and breaks down her door and drags her out, steals all her stuff and sets her house on fire and then...he kills her. He turns around and sees you standing in the window and laughs at you. WHAT DO YOU DO?"

Our son is crying and he looks down and he whispers, "I close the blinds, Daddy."

My husband looks at our son with tears in his eyes and asks him... "Why?"

"Because Daddy.....the police are supposed to help...people who needs it....and they won't help....You always say that neighbors are supposed to HELP neighbors, but they won't help either...they won't help me stop him...I'm afraid....I can't do it by myself.

Daddy.....I can't look out my window and just watch him do all these terrible things'm just going to close the I can't see what he's doing........and I'm going to pretend that it is not happening."

I start to cry.

My husband looks at our nine year old son standing in the window, looking pitiful and ashamed at his answers to my husbands questions and he tells him...."Son"!!!

"Yes, Daddy."

"Open the blinds, because that man.... he's at your front door now..."WHAT DO YOU DO?"

My son looks at his father, anger and defiance in his eyes. He balls up his tiny fists and looks his father square in the eyes, without hesitation he says: "I DEFEND MY FAMILY DAD!! I'M NOT GONNA LET HIM HURT MOMMY OR MY SISTER, DAD!!! I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM, DAD, I'M GONNA FIGHT HIM!!!!!"

I see a tear roll down my husband's cheek and he grabs our son to his chest and hugs him tight, and cries...

"It's too late to fight him, he's too strong and he's already at YOUR front door should have stopped him BEFORE he killed his wife. You have to do what's right, even if you have to do it alone,'s too late," my husband whispers.

THAT scenario I just gave you is WHY we are at war with Iraq. When good men stand by and let evil happen is the greatest EVIL of all. Our President is doing what is right. We, as a free nation, must understand that this war is a war of humanity. WE must remove evil men from power so that we can continue to live in a free world where we are not afraid to look out our window. So that my nine year old son won't grow up in a world where he feels that if he just "closes" that blinds the atrocities in the world won't affect him.

Thank God For Children Saying Grace!!

Thank God for Children Saying Grace...

Last week I took my children to a restaurant. My six-year-old son asked ifhe could say grace. As we bowed our heads he said, "God is good, God is great. Thank you for the food, and I would even thank you more if Mom gets us ice creamfor dessert. And Liberty and justice for all! Amen!"

Along with the laughter from the other customers nearby I heard a woman remark, "That's what's wrong with this country. Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for ice-cream! Why, I never!" Hearing this, my son burst into tears and asked me, "Did I do it wrong?
Is God mad at me?"

As I held him and assured him that he had done a terrific job and God was certainly not mad at him, an elderly gentleman approached the table. He winked at my son and said, "I happen to know that God thought that was a great prayer. "Really?" my son asked. "Cross my heart," the man replied. Then in a theatrical whisper he added (indicating the woman whose remark had started this whole thing), " Too bad she never asks God for ice cream. A little ice cream is good for the soul sometimes."

Naturally, I bought my kids ice cream at the end of the meal. My son stared at his for a moment and then did something I will remember the rest of my life. He picked up his sundae and without a word, walked over and placedit in front of the woman. With a big smile he told her, "Here, this is for you. Ice cream is good for the soul sometimes; and my soul is good already."

The End.

I loved this story!
Please keep it moving.
Sometimes we all need some ice cream. I hope God sends you some Ice Cream today.

President Bush is good for South Carolina!

President Bush has a plan for making America safer, stronger and better. In South Carolina, the President's plan is working.

Because President Bush acted, South Carolina's economy is strong and growing stronger with unemployment down and new, quality jobs added since last year. Because the President acted, South Carolina residents are paying less in taxes and receiving millions in funding for health care benefits and community initiatives. The President has also acted to build and preserve compassionate values like faith, family and responsibility. And the President's commitment to rural America and farmers never wavers.

President Bush has a record of historic achievement and positive vision for the years ahead. In the next four years, President Bush will continue to lead South Carolina and America with confidence, resolve, hope, and results. Posted by Hello

Kerry is getting desperate!!

Kerry's campaign is becoming desperate!

Everyday brings a new charge against the President and every charge is pulled right from the headlines of the New York Times. If you want to know how John Kerry will attack the President in the afternoon, just read the Times in the morning.

John Kerry will say anything he believes will help him politically, and today he is grasping at headlines to obscure his record of weakness and indecision in the War on Terror. These are the tactics of a candidate who has no message for the future and no positive record to run on.

The entire country of Iraq was a weapons stockpile. So far, 243,000 tons of weapons and explosives have been secured and destroyed. In addition, 163,000 tons of weapons and explosives have been secured and are awaiting destruction. All the Monday morning-quarterbacking and armchair-generaling in the world by John Kerry won't make up for the fact that he does not have a vision, a strategy or a plan to fight and win the War on Terror.

Saddam Hussein's government stored weapons in mosques, schools, hospitals and countless other locations throughout Iraq. Yet, John Kerry showed today that he still cannot decide whether Saddam Hussein was a threat or not. He claims the weapons our troops have secured and destroyed were not a threat, but any other weapons were.

You should prepare for more baseless attacks torn from the headlines in the coming days by John Kerry. You should also expect more desperate flailing by his campaign as more polls show President Bush on his way to re-election.

John Kerry is attempting to distract voters from the clear choice they face between President Bush's strong leadership (<---link)to protect America and John Kerry's weak record (<---link) of proposing reckless cuts to our defense and intelligence budgets. ~LH 1 Timothy 4:12~

Thanks Sears For the Support!!

Let's all shop at Sears!!!!!!

I assume you have all seen the reports about how Sears is treating its reservist employees who are called up? By law, they are required to hold their jobs open and available, but nothing more. Usually, people take a big pay cut and lose benefits as a result of being called up...Sears is voluntarily paying the difference in salaries and maintaining all benefits, including medical insurance and bonus programs, for all called up reservist employees for up to two years. I submit that Sears is an exemplary corporate citizen and should be recognized for its contribution.

Suggest we all shop at Sears, and be sure to find a manager to tell them why we are there so the company gets the positive reinforcement it well deserves.
Pass it on.

So I decided to check it out before I sent it forward. I sent the following email to the Sears

Customer Service Department:
I received this email and I would like to know if it is true. If it is, the Internet may have just become one very good source of advertisement for your store. I know I would go out of my way to buy products from Sears instead of another store for a like item even if it was cheaper at the other store.

Here is their answer to my email......................

Dear Customer:

Thank you for contacting Sears.

The information is factual. We appreciate your positive feedback. Sears regards service to our country as one of greatest sacrifices our young men and women can make. We are happy to do our part to lessen the burden they bear at this time.

Bill Thorn
Sears Customer Care

Please pass this on to all your friends, Sears needs to be recognized for this outstanding contribution and we need to show them as Americans, we do appreciate what they are doing for our military!!!!!!!!!!!

An Article From The New York Times!!

A New York Times Article

**I strongly urge you to read the story below, taken from the New York Times. The Times is one of the most liberal newspapers in America. They have always been pro-homosexual marriage. The story concerns what is happening in Key West, Florida, a haven for homosexuals. It has gotten so bad that the homosexual community is angered that the city fathers have asked them to tone down their behavior. If you read between the lines, you get the sense that even reporter Nick Madigan isn't comfortable reporting what he sees. In fact, I get the impression that he is holding back and not reporting the situation to be as bad as it is.

**I am here just to insert that homosexuality is wron no matter rather you hold to Biblical teaching or not. A man and a woman compliment each other. Two people of the same sex cannot hold up to such a task. When I say "compliment each other" I mean men and women think different from each other so that means they operate better together. That is why God made man and woman! I will expand on these ideas for you to fully understand my ideas!

Key West, Suddenly Shy, Puts Pasties on Its Party

KEY WEST, Fla., Oct. 17

As night falls on Duval Street, dazed tourists stumble from bar to bar, taking in decked-out drag queens, comely strippers and other entertainments considerably more outrageous. In the dark corners of some of Key West's gay clubs, things go on that, even here, most people do not talk about in public.

It takes a lot to shock people in Key West. If you come to town, the thinking goes, you may as well forget about prudishness andp ropriety. And yet the southernmost city in the contiguous United States, long considered beyond the reach of mainland mores, is undergoing a struggle over its morals.

City officials, who are bracing themselves for Friday, the start of Fantasy Fest, an annual 10-day bacchanal that draws about 80,000 people and exceeds the blowouts of New Orleans at their most bizarre, are trying to crack down on the more outlandish aspects of Key West's sexually indulgent ways.

This month, the City Commission passed an ordinance that limits the number of strip clubs, clothing-optional bars and X-rated video stores, and spells out that sex in public is illegal. But some things remain sacred: a clause to require body painters to shield their naked patrons from view was struck.

"It does get pretty raunchy," said John Jones, the assistant city manager. "We're trying to be more family oriented, but it's still an adult town. I wouldn't advise anyone to bring their children to Fantasy Fest."

The effort against blatant displays of sexual behavior comes as city officials have begun forcing homeless people to bunk down in tents next to the Monroe County Jail and have ordered the police to arrest violators of regulations on open containers anywhere but on the busiest blocks of Duval Street, where enforcement would mean arresting just about everyone.

In addition, the street-front counters that for years have served rum runners and piña coladas to passers-by must now ask their patrons to step onto their property before they can receive their drinks.

"Good God, this is turning into a Republican town," proclaimed the Pistol and Enema Web site, which advertises itself as "the gay information source for Key West."

Workers in the sex industry here say they are stunned at the movement toward modesty, the very thing they left the mainland to escape.

"It's gotten ridiculous," said Ed Tremarco, a bartender at the gay-oriented Bourbon St. Pub. "They even tried to have the body painters put up curtains. That got shut down, but it's like they have nothing better to do than to come after us."

Christy Sweet, a stripper who sued Key West officials after they rescinded her license two years ago to operate a storefront parlor called Personal Dances, said the newly conservative bent in town was a result of a real estate boom in which wealthy out-of-towners were buying up expensive second homes.

"There's a different group of people coming here," Ms. Sweet said, "and they're just not as open to adult entertainment."

A poster outside the 801 Bourbon Bar advertises nightly drag shows, at 9 and 11, starring "Key West's most beautiful queens." But a brochure tied to Fantasy Fest promotes more risqué fare at the bar's sister establishment, the Bourbon St. Pub, including an advertisement for an Oct. 25 "Dungeons and Dragons" party that promises "live demonstrations" and comes with a warning: "This leather fetish party is not for the timid or shy."

In Key West, where representatives of the various preferences operate in a relatively harmonious alliance, it is widely assumed that there is sex in the backrooms of some of the clubs, mostly in the gay ones but sometimes in the straight ones.

Mary Jane, a stripper prone to acrobatics who said she came here to work a year ago so that that she could save money to return to college, recalled being astounded at what she heard was going on in the gay clubs.

"Oral sex, right there in front of everyone," said Mary Jane, who was wearing high heels, tattoos and nothing else. "I couldn't believe it."

Mr. Jones, 72, the assistant city manager, said there were certain things the city could not stop.
"If you're a young man and you want to make out, no matter what your sexual preference, you can pretty much do it in Key West," he said. "We tolerate it to a certain extent, as long as you don't do it in public."

The new ordinance establishes that the town's 14 strip joints and pornographic book and video stores, as well as a clothing-optional resort, a clothing-optional restaurant and two clothing-optional bars, may remain in place but makes it much harder for new licenses to be issued for such businesses.

At least one of those bars, Naked Lunch, was cited recently because employees were topless in a place that was not legally an entertainment venue. Code enforcement officers also said the Key West Scrub Club, a strip joint, could not drive and park all over town its white vans, decorated with paintings of bikini-clad women and promoting its "Live Totally All-Nude Girls!''
"We do want to keep our uniqueness and funkiness," said Tom Oosterhoudt, one of the City Commission's five members. "What we don't want is major strip-joint chains on every corner, so it looks like Anywhere, U.S.A."

Mr. Oosterhoudt said he had successfully toned down some of the ordinance's more onerous provisions, so much so that its proponent, his colleague Carman Turner, ended up voting against it.

"It still reflects the more freewheeling, free-spirited legacy of Key West's history," Mr. Oosterhoudt said. "We've always been a place of live and let live."~LH 1 Timothy 4:12~

Iraq and The Bible

1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.

2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!

3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.

4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.

5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!

6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.

7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.

8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.

9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.

10. Amos cried out in Iraq!

11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.

12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq!

13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)

14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.

15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.

16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.

17. The wise men were from Iraq.

18. Peter preached in Iraq.

19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!

-----> And you have probably seen this one.
----->Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible.
------>The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land of Shinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers.
----->The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.
**Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible. No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq. And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle.

*Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

----->**The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)
Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair, still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !

This is a ribbon for soldiers fighting in Iraq. Pass it on to everyone and pray.

  • Who to believe?

***----->Ahh, it's so confusing!<------***

**Every year an independent tax watchdog group analyzes the average tax burden on Americans, and then calculates the "Tax Freedom Day". This is the day after which the money you earn goes to you, not the government. This year, tax freedom day was April 11th. That's the earliest it has been since 1991. It's latest day ever was May 2nd, which occurred in 2000. Notice anything special about those dates?

**Recently, John Kerry gave a speech in which he claimed Americans are actually paying more taxes under Bush, despite the tax cuts. He gave no explanation and provided no data for this claim.

**Another interesting fact: Both George Bush and John Kerry are wealthy men. Bush owns only one home, his ranch in Texas. Kerry owns 4 mansions, all worth several million dollars. (His ski resort home in Idaho is an old barn brought over from Europe in pieces. Not your average A-frame).

**----->Bush paid $250,000 in taxes this year; ----->Kerry paid $90,000.

Does that sound right? The man who wants to raise your taxes obviously has figured out a way to avoid paying his own. Pass this on. Only days until the election.

Noah's Ark Everything I need to know, I learned from Noah's Ark

  • ONE: Don't miss the boat.
  • TWO: Remember that we are all in the same boat. (ALL AMERICA)
  • THREE: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
  • FOUR: Stay fit. When you're 60 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
  • FIVE: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done. (YEA W!)
  • SIX: Build your future on high ground.
  • SEVEN: For safety's sake, travel in pairs. (BUSH CHENEY!)
  • EIGHT: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs. (12 yrs before something was finally done about terrorism)
  • NINE: When you're stressed, float awhile.
  • TEN: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
  • ELEVEN: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting. (AMEN!)

Just watched a show on Canadian TV. There was a black comedian who

  • Number 4 He gets a check from the government every month.

America's shelves this week with "Clinton Soup," in honor of one of the nations' most distinguished men. It consists mairily of a weenie in hot water.
  • Number 6 Chrysler Corporation is adding a new car to its line to honor Bill Clinton. The Dodge Drafter will be in production in Canada this year.
  • Number 7 When asked what he thought about foreign affairs, Clinton replied, "I don't know, I never had one."
  • Number 8 American Indians nicknamed Bill Clinton "Walking Eagle" because he is so full of crap he can't fly.
  • Number 9 Clinton lacked only three things to become one of America's finest leaders: integrity, vision, wisdom.
  • Number 10 Clinton was doing the work of three men: Larry, Curly and Moe.
  • Number 11 The Clinton revised judicial oath: "I solemnly swear to tell the truth as I know it, the whole truth as I believe it to be, and nothing but what I think you need to know."
  • Number 12 Clinton will be recorded in history as the only President to do Hankey Pankey between Bushes.

You Can Make A Difference!!

Today I was able to substitute again at SMS! What made today a little different is that today was the first time I had a chance to talk to some of my teachers I had when I was younger. I know people may think I am just silly, but I was and am still able to relate better to my English/Literature teachers better. I suppose one reason is because I love to analyze things to see deeper into the mind of the author and maybe the reason they something the wayt they did in a work. But right now it is getting late so I will go into later to why I am so happy that I was so blessed to get the teachers I had the honor to learn under!! Until next time!~LH 1 Timothy 4:12~

Substitute Teaching!

Well here I am substitute teaching at South Middle School. Believe it or not I really do enjoy it. I am taking Mrs. K's place in a "Corrective Reading" Class. All classes have gone fairly well, except one, but even that one wasn't totally bad. Right now, I am on my lunch break, and wanted to type some of this into my blog before I forgot. I really do love teaching middle school aged kids. They are so cool. They don't realize how much they mean to people. Each time I do these jobs I feel God's Blessed Assurance that I am on the right path, to become what I have, as long aas I can remember, a teacher. And more specifically I want to, and feel called to teach middle school kids. I know most people think I have just lost my mind, but I am here to tell you that I know I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the people, the teachers, I came in contact with when I was a student in junior high I know i wouldn't be here. But because of there loveing concern I am! And I want to share that tender loving care with others. To be light peircing the darkness so that all the world may see my Lord and Savior and not me, but everything I do, do unto the glory of God! I will finish later, but now I need to get back to my class.
